Multifaceted, Bill Doggett is a professional independent bookseller who has been an exhibitor in Antiquarian Book Shows, Mid Century and Vintage Shows in the Los Angeles and San Francisco Bay Area for the past 30 years.

Between 1995 and 2005, he created a memorable presence as the principal African American exhibitor with visually striking booths at The Burbank Book, Glendale Book, Bustamante and Walter Larsen Book Fairs and Mid Century Los Angeles Modern Times and San Francisco Art Deco Shows.

In 2003 and 2004, he was a featured guest in the Los Angeles based Adelphia Cable TV Show, Collector’s Favorites.

Coinciding with these shows and his Cable TV Guest presence, he created an important  e_store on eBay

Since the Pandemic, he has established a Los Angeles Vintage Show presence as the resident “Barnes and Noble” popular culture coffee table book and magazine seller at the world famous Pasadena, Rose Bowl.

The youngest son of a Los Angeles Unified School District Reading Specialist, Frances Doggett, his love of books, reading and libraries began at age 3.  With an early reading proficiency by age 5, he was the designated Narrator in Pre School Christmas events.

As a collector, historian and author, books and historical ephemera are a sustaining love and all consuming pastime as well as a business.
